    From Small Survey Team to Top Ten in Construction and Biggest Dredging Capabilities in the Far East.

    "I used to share a small room in Palomo Building at Azcarraga Street (now Claro M. Recto Avenue) in Manila with three lawyers in 1949, and we had only one secretary for the four of us."

    More popularly known among his colleagues simply as FF, he transformed the small surveying outfit into a full service engineering construction firm incorporated in October 1954. The company today is built on his values and legacy of providing quality and reliability to its clients.

    Felipe F. Cruz established the company as a surveying firm, setting the groundwork for precision engineering in the Philippines.

    Incorporation

    Steady leadership paved the company’s incorporation in October 1954 into a construction company.

    Early Legacy

    Sole local company in the Philippines to secure a US Geodetic Survey Contract.

    1965

    First Civilian Corps of Aerial Photogrammetry

    First Philippine enterprise to offer civil aerial photography and photogrammetry. Commissioned by the Philippine Government for the aerial photography of 13 million hectares of land, covering nearly three-quarters of the entire country.

    1965 - 1970

    Expansion in Engineering, Construction and Heavy Equipment

    Experienced accelerated growth within a 5-year period, various divisions simultaneously started operations as the company ventured into other engineering services.

    Creation of Independent Design Consultancy Company

    Emerging from the engineering division, Philipps Technical Consultants was incorporated on January 1981 as an independent firm of technical consultants with wide expertise and diversified experience, covering a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines.

    Marine Division Modernization

    Responding to massive surge in coastal urbanization, large shipping vessels, and major land reclamation projects, the company engaged in deep channel excavation, port silt removal, and land reclamation and development projects. FF Cruz acquired the highest capacity cutter suction dredger at 10,500 cu.m per hour.

    Landmark Reclamation Project

    Undertook the monumental Mandaue North Reclamation and Infrastructure Development Project in Cebu, a massive 185 has. engineered sea-to-land project.

    Mega Flyovers & Urban Interchanges

    Cemented its name as a top civil contractor by building traffic-relief structures, including the iconic EDSA / Ortigas Interchange, EDSA-Kamias-Timog Interchange and C-5/Ortigas Avenue Extension Interchange.

    Currently owns one of the sector's largest marine equipment fleet composing of dredgers, barges, tug-boats, floating dry-docks, and offshore piling barges.

    Port Development & Dredging

    Undertook massive construction, maintenance dredging, and port rehabilitation contracts for strategic maritime hubs like Batangas International Port and Iloilo Commercial Port.

    Microtunneling Technology

    A pioneer in the Philippines of a highly specialized trenchless construction method that provides effective solutions where government limitations restrict open-cut works. Mandated and accelerated water and wastewater projects suh as in Taguig and the series of Marikina North Sewer Network Development projects.

    Undertook the massive Design and Build of Manila South Harbor Pier 3 Extension. Delivered without impacting terminal operations. Increased operational and logistical efficacy becoming an international port.
