MARINE WORKS
 
DREDGING OPERATION 

I. OBJECTIVES

In addressing client’s requirements for any project, F.F. Marine Corporation (FFMC) shall employ appropriate methodologies that will take  into account 
high-level accuracy standards and expeditious conduct of work with the use of modern GPS survey technology, precision survey sounding, and advance
software in hydrographic surveying. Our approach shall also consider several requisites for the efficient
 and effective implementation of the required
surveying tasks, involving both site survey and office data processing activities.
 
 
II. SCOPE

- Establishment / Referencing of Vertical and Horizontal control by GPS

- Mean Lower low water (MLLW) Establishment
- Hydrographic Survey
- CAD Plotting and Data Processing
- Volume Computation 
 
 
 
III. DEFINITION OF TERMS

a.) Dredging - An excavation activity or operation usually carried out at least partly underwater, in shallow seas or fresh water areas with
    the purpose of gathering up bottom sediments and disposing of them at a different location. This technique is often used to keep 
waterways navigable.

b.) Hydrographic Survey - It is the science of measurement and description of features which affect maritime navigation, marine construction, 
dredging, offshore oil exploration/drilling and related activities. Strong emphasis is placed on soundings, shorelines, tides, currents,
sea floor
 and submerged obstructions that relate to the previously mentioned activities.

c.) Reclamation - A process of reclaiming something from loss or from a less useful condition.
d.) GPS - Global Positioning System

RENTING OF VESSELS

 I. OBJECTIVES
          1. To provide marine vessel rental service that would help ease up clients’ execution of marine works, transport of goods and materials
              and generate revenue for the company.

 II. SCOPE
           This procedure covers the marine rental contract that the company may enter throughout the Philippine archipelago.

 III. DEFINITION OF TERMS
            Marine Vessel – for purposes of this procedure, marine vessels is referred to as barges, tug boats, piling rigs, dredgers, and other
                                  floating equipment that the company had.

TUG ASSISTANCE 

          I. OBJECTIVES
             1. To provide tug service that would ensure safer docking and undocking of ships in the Ports of Iloilo.
          II. SCOPE
              This procedure covers Tug Assistance operations of Marine Division in Iloilo.

          III. DEFINITION OF TERMS
              a) Tug Assistance – service rendered by tug boat that maneuvers other ships by pushing or pulling them either by direct contact or
by means
of a tow line during docking, undocking, shifting and repositioning maneuver.
